Kempty Falls, Mussoorie
Categories: Waterfalls, Nature & Parks
At Kempty Falls, immerse yourself in the natural wonders which surround this perennial waterfall. Named after elaborate British tea parties, the falls became a popular picnic spot about 1835. Bring your swimsuit to dive under its cascades (but remember to carry an extra set of clothing). If you intend to fish, stop by the sacred river Yamuna, which is 12 km (7.5 mi) from the falls. You will need a permit from the Divisional Forest Officer to fish. You'll find food and game stalls around the area, as well as souvenir shops where you can purchase a Tibetan memento. Make Kempty Falls a centerpiece of your Mussoorie vacation itinerary, and find what else is worth visiting using our Mussoorie family vacation planner.
