  • Words are not enough to describe the place. It's the feel that you enjoy at this place. Visiting at the time when there's too much fog make it difficult to enjoy the view. 7am-9am would be the best in...  more »

  • Top station is only for view of the Munnar hills and th valley. The view is amazing like you feel the hills are very close to you yet they are far. They have two points for viewing one at the 60 mts below and the other at 120 mts below. Not properly paved as the steps are slippery and no proper maintenance. Elderly people are not suggested to go there because of the effort required to reach and coming back.
  • I suggest to get down 1.5 km before top station near ‘chittavurai Junction` and have a small walk on road as there is barely any traffic and very peaceful surrounding, one can find most scenic spot for photograph awesome mountain tea estate plantations every were, I liked this place ..! Top station is approx..34 km from munnar town Highest point on Munnar-Kodaikanal road with abt.1700m high, there is not much interesting to see out here. there are couple of hotels for food and small rest house, It is say during olden days late 1900 they use to transported tea products by a cable car ropeway from Top Station 5 km down hill to the south to Kottagudi. U need to buy entry ticket (Rs.25) and walk down 10 to15min stairs downhill for panoramic view of the majestic Western Ghats and the valley of Theni district. huge mountains is very dramatic with changing clouds
  • Top station is for good view of the western ghats. Inorder to go to the view point you have to buy a ticket and go. The ticket counter is 400mts from the parking place. You have to walk all the way to reach there. There are two view points here. One is 50mts down and the other is 120mts down. Views are worth the struggle. Very natural and the hills look like they are beside you. Nature lovers must visit this place. On the other hand, it is not properly paved and its very dusty to reach. Not recommended for old and aged people as they have to return climbing. From the bottom most view point. It would be like you are climbing 10 floors stairs at one stretch.
  • Top Station, located around 32 km away from Munnar, is the highest point (1700m) in Munnar, on the Munnar-Kodaikkanal road. The place falls on the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border. Here you can enjoy the panoramic view of Western Ghats and the valley of Theni district of Tamil Nadu. Top Station got its name from the fact that it was the uppermost railway station located in the Kundala Valley. At this highest point, you may feel that the clouds are just a hand touch away from you. The destination is famous for the Neelakurinji flowers (Strobilanthus), which used to bloom once in twelve years. The bloom of these rare flowers will give the destination a different bluish look. The next flowering season of Neelakurinji is on 2018. The best time to visit Top station is from April to May. Top Station is easily accessible from Munnar as there are frequent buses from there and you can also make use of the cabs available. You can also visit the Kurinjimala sanctuary very near to top Station.
  • Most beautiful place in Munnar, #TopStationViewPoint #TamilNadu view from #Kerala | Such a scenic beauty of nature. Loved It!
