Top Station, Munnar

4.0
The highest point in Munnar, Top Station once represented a major stop on the route used to transport locally grown tea. Today, the site now offers panoramic views of the monumental Western Ghats mountain range and the valleys of the Theni District. From 1,700 m (5577.4 ft) above sea level, the spot allows you to observe India's diverse landscapes, with frequently rolling clouds creating countless picture-perfect moments. The area is also famous for the rare Neelakurinji flowers, covering the region in a purple hue every 12 years. • By far, the best toursot spot in Munnar. Though a little far, it is worth the visit. Do trek down to get the best view of the valley. Visit the place during sunrise/sunset time. Instagram : secretninj...  more »

  • Great view.... You have to buy tickets to visit this place.... it's usually busy and you have to climb 400 steps down to see the attraction at its finest... The climb is pretty steep and can be hard for old people and people with breathing problems.... But it's totally worth it. Lots of small gift shops are also there....
  • It was beautiful! The view covered with mist and fog feels like heaven. I had visited in the month of January this year and words might fall short explain the beauty and how eye soothing.
  • Lovely place. View from the viewpoint is mind blowing. It is worth driving to the top station(even the drive itself is really interesting).
  • Has little trek. Amazing view from top. We r top of Thick layer of clouds. Road Journey from Munnar to this place is awesome.
  • The drive up is gorgeous. The view is good, though we got a lot of fog that day. Absolutely worth a visit. You do get heckled a bit by the hawkers.
