  • A very nice and quiet place to relax with simply awesome views. This place can be prretty crowdy on certain days and more especially during holidays breaks.
  • Excellent point for some photos but nothing much to do. The view is very nice and worth taking a pit stop
  • 13 km away from Munnar; this place is beautiful picnic place. Great place to enjoy the speed boating

  • Munnar is good for its landscapes. One of that is this. Very crowded with tourists. More than the dam, the boating is famous. Dam is not open in October second week. A very small dam. You see the big reservoir walking on the top of the dam. The dam is on the way to Top station and echo point. Because the tourists the traffic's halts very frequently.
  • It's pretty calm and cosy. Couples would love this place as well as the families. It has got great scenes. On the way, to Echo point, food stalls are available so the foodies can enjoy local food out there and homemade chocolates...yumm!
  • Good views and clean lake. Boating options are Family boat or Speed Boat. We choose speed boat , ride took us deep inside with amazing views. visited mattupetty dam in september 2016... very crowded place.... place is beautifull... it offers boating.... echo point is nearby.... road to the dam is narrow.... there is no sufficient parking space.... road blocks are common...
  • Very famous dam on the way to Top Station from Munnar. It was about 15 kms from Munnar. A walk on the Dam feels great. Many trees were there. Full of water and nice locations at the bottom of the Dam. Suggest not to be there after 6 pm as there was no phone signals and it was so dark.
  • It's a very crowdy place but once you enter into the boating area, you will just love the fascinating scenery out there. #PopularPlace in Munnar
