Lakkam Waterfalls, Munnar
(4/5 based on 240+ reviews on the web)
Dip your feet in the freshwater pond underneath Lakkam Waterfalls, a small cascade falling over a steep hill through a lush forest. You can also take a swim, but exercise caution while stepping on the slippery rocks. This verdant, family-friendly location is a popular spot, easily accessed from the road. Note, however, that you'll need to get permission from the Munnar Wildlife Division to visit the site, which is part of Eravikulam National Park. With our custom trip planner, Munnar attractions like Lakkam Waterfalls can be center stage of your vacation plans, and you can find out about other attractions like it, unlike it, near it, and miles away.

  • The waterfalls and the area is good, but too many tourists without regard to the natural setting, spoils the view and the place. discarded wrappers/bottles/newspapers/food etc.. is just too disgusting to ignore. If only ppl would have let this place be natural, it would have been great
  • Good place had fun and 3 hrs passed easily.. Yes bathing is allowed here... But be aware at any time water level will increase... Security guards were always there to inspect...
  • This waterfalls is about 25 kms from Munnar on the way to Udumalaipettai. Lakkom waterfalls is part of Eravikulam National Park. The cascading waterfalls and the scenic surroundings makes it tourists favorite hideout in Munnar.
