  • Beautiful place for hikes. There are many trails ti nearby peaks. Lush greenery. There are many 4*4 jeeps available from the bottom to reach this place. Good place to get a magical sunrise.
  • Kolukkumalai is a small village/hamlet in Bodinayakanur Taluk in the Theni District of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Jeep is the only vehicle allowed till the highest point in kolukkumalai. Even though the journey is a little tiresome it is worth the pains....its totally mesmerising. The peak gives a beautiful view of both Tamil Nadu and Kerala. The green carpet look of the beautiful tea estates is really heavenly. It is a really must go. You can also... Road leading to Kolukkumali Tea Estate is almost 20 Km long from Suryanelli, which itself is 25 km from Munnar. There's only Mahindra Jeeps available for Suryanelli to Kolukkumali journey. Entire journey barring first 4-5 kms is off road. Route is very narrow and risky. Ride is bumpy and back breaking. But the views enroute and on top is worth...Excellent... Kolukkumalai Tea Estate is the highest tea plantations in the world. The place is also perfect to capture the sunrise, so wake up early morning and drive to this place. As soon as you will reach to the top, you will fall in love with the place. The view from the top is very very beautiful.
  • World's highest tea estate, there is practically no road from Munnar, so one needs to hire a jeep and endure a very bumpy ride. But it is worth it. The team factory is a good visit here
  • Visited their very very old tea estate. The employees at the factory was courteous and tried to explain everything to us with passion. They claim this to be a tea estate that does not use any chemicals. I have no way of validating the claim but seems legitimate to me.
  • Amazing experience... 18kms off road trip from Munnar - Suryanelli road. Best time to visit , will be summer season. View of sunrise from here is excellent
