  • One of the best garden in southern Mumbai. Many people visit this place daily. It provides greenery and harmony. It relieves the stress and relaxes mind. Nice place to bring children. Garden have swings and sliders for children. It also have washrooms neatly maintained. This Garden is closed on every Saturday till 4 in the evening including all public holidays.
  • It's a silent place amidst the happening corner of the city. Amazing calm persists in the lawn despite being surrounded by very important institutions. It was soothing to find families resting on the lawns and the kids having their best time scowling around. A shoe free walk on the green grass is strongly recommended!
  • Calm place in the heart of the city to spend some time. What's amazing is you can come here and do almost anything; sit and relax, have your meal, take a quick nap, read, study, work on laptop...and the place is quite well maintained too.
  • Horniman Circle garden covers an area of about 12,080 yards. It is located in the south of Mumbai and is quite a popular garden. Sadly, this garden is not as well maintained as the others in Mumbai. However, it still looks beautiful. People love to spend time here. Maybe if they start maintaining it well, it would become the best garden of the city. The garden is also used to host a number of huge functions. These functions usually include the most popular events of the city.
  • A good place to exercise, eat your tiffin lunch or just take a moment for yourself. Right across the majestic Town Hall (Asiatic Library). Quite easily noticeable from a moving vehicle. There are quite a few eating joints in and around the Horniman circle (previously Elphinstone Circle).

Where to stay in Mumbai

In a cramped city like Mumbai, finding a budget hotel can present a serious challenge. Many business travelers and tourists choose to stay in South Mumbai, the oldest and richest neighborhood in the city. Accommodations here put you close to most top museums, restaurants, bars, art galleries, and shops. Proximity to major attractions comes at a premium price, though--not surprising for one of the most expensive cities in Asia. If you plan to visit on a tight budget, look for options near railway stations, but prepare for low-grade rooms and few or no amenities.
