4.4/5 based on 75+ reviews on the web
A prime example of a mixture of neo-classic and neo-gothic style architecture built in the 18th century is St. Thomas Cathedral Mumbai. It was the first Anglican church built in Mumbai back in 1710 after the East India Company took on the remainder of the built following the death of St. Thomas. Inside the church is embellished in plaster of paris, polished brass and windows dedicated to British parishioners. The building’s structure is still of what it was when originally built and serves as an interesting example of early British settlement in Mumbai. • This Cathedral looks quite nicely. At the same time, it is a historic landmark, as was built at the beginning of the 18th century by the British during their colonization. Inside looks beautiful, too many different sculptures and monuments of times of the British Raj, a large hall for parishioners, many beautiful colored frescoes.
