  • The place is huge - but should be maintained properly. Not too many animals. The animals should be looked after better.
  • We visitied this place 3 months back with our kids. The place is a very good botanical garden in the heart of the city. We felt pity at the sight of the animals in the zoo. The monkeys were sick and m...  more »
  • I wanted to shoot pictures of flowers, visited is the Victoria Gardens. Plants are not botanical gardens, usually seen in Japan and enjoyed. In the city also went to the garden, but here are many trees on the grounds, the harsh sunlight during the day to keep loose and very recommended.

  • Waste of Money and Time. But very cheap entry Pass ₹5. It is under renovatio n, so we can see only some deers abd elephents
  • Wish those animals had a better life. The staff is very arrogant and negligent. Must visit here and spread awareness about animals right. You'll love the nature and its wonderful beauty here.
  • Its a beautiful garden and a zoo located at Byculla (Mumbai). Its hard to believe that there can be a zoo located in the heart of Mumbai. Its a good place to visit with children. The zoo houses a wide variety of birds (pros) but few animals (cons). The place definitely needs some renovation. I had far better experience when I visited Delhi and Tokyo zoo. Due to some cons I am giving it 3 out of 5 stars.
  • Jijamata Udyan (Veermata Jijabai Bhosale Udyan) is also known as Rani Baug (Victoria Garden) named after The Queen Victoria👑. Basically its a Zoo 🐯and a 🍁Botanical Garden🌿. It's a pleasant place to visit with kids👨‍👩‍👦‍👦. Back in school days (1970~80), I have visited this place 100s of times since it was next to my school and home. We have seen lots of 🐊🐢animals🐘 and birds 🐦here. It had a boating service ⛵too. An animal hospital 🚑was situated at south east corner, where zoo animals were treated. In 90's, they introduced a 🌵🌲Japanese Garden, which definitely added some stars to it's beauty. Now they have added penguin 🐧as a new attraction. But number of animals have reduced in last two decades. I would suggest to visit👨‍👨‍👧‍👦 this place with kids at once, if possible, as we may not be able to see such a historical place in the near future. The only thing that can save this place is its💝💌 popularity👨‍👨‍👧‍👧👨‍👩‍👦👪👨‍👨‍👧‍👦👨‍👨‍👧, which will surely make it's management think🤔 to bring it back to life💊💉😘
  • Jijamata Udyan (Victora Garden) Rani Bagh Zoo - Byculla, Mumbai. during my childhood days , have visited and enjoyed the place , took my kids there but was very disappointed to see the poor state of the zoo- animals are not taken care - the only good thing is the garden that is maintained rest all a poor show.
