  • There's nothing visually appealing about this tank. If you're in Mumbai for a few days, skip it. However, if you have time have time and a good guide, try and pay a visit. "Khaki" does some very inter...  more »
  • It's an old pond, for the old Walkeshwar Temple, which is now not maintained much. Surroundings are not that great.
  • 很有味道,爬满青苔的石阶,造型古朴的砖塔,咕噜咕噜冒水的山泉,一汪清水的大水池,还有曲颈向天歌的鹅群,与水中的游鱼相伴,令人会意而笑。 最好打车去。

  • A silent place in city. TAKE BATH IN THIS HOLY POND BANGANGA CREATED BY LORD RAMA. A visit to Mumbai is not complete without visiting banganga. Heritage site in the concrete jungle. Must Visit. Holy Place.
  • everytime I come here.. I remember the movie "outsourced" .. peaceful atmosphere.. historical place
  • Banganga Tank is one of the oldest sweet water tanks located in Mumbai. Before Mumbai got water supply from the Vihar and Tulsi lakes, the only source of water were several tanks built within the city. There were eleven tanks in all, of which Banganga is the only tank that has been present since ancient times.
  • A very old and a very beautiful pond filled with fishes. The place is surrounded by stairs of many old temples. This may be the reason nobody is allowed for fishing there. Banganga doesn't even look like a part of Mumbai. It gives a feel of a remote village you would have seen 30 years before.
  • Very peaceful locality and holy place in south mumbai. must visit for anyone who wants to clear their mind and meditate.
