  • Jhargram Palace or Rajbari has an opulent Italianate structure set in carefully laid lawns and gardens. It was designed by Calcutta Improvement Trust during the reign of Raja Narasingha Malla Deb Bahadur and was completed in 1931. The Palatial Guest House is a part of the Jhargram Raj Palace it has been a host to several dignitaries’ right from its inception. There are about 10 rooms plus three dormitories on the ground floor have been converted into a Heritage Hotel run by the family as a joint venture with West Bengal Tourism (WBTDCL) to develop tourism infrastructure in the Raj estate campus. A part of this complex is still shared by the Malla Deb Royal family.
  • Very well maintained heritage place...good choice for short holiday trip
  • There is nothing special. You can only see the outside facade. You cannot enter the building to get a first hand feel of the architecture. There are rooms for accommodation but the condition is dilapidated and exorbitant prices
