  • I didn't like this place a whole lot. It's quite dirty. I didn't feel like dipping my hands in the water. The priests were quite aggressive. Lots of monkeys which try to snatch things so beware. The a...  read more »
  • Nice place.. very popular ghat pf yamuna in mathura. Lots of rush. Having temple of Yamuna . Krishna and balram .
  • This ghat is to just visualize stairs, put your feet in water and get relax. In the evening you can also enjoy evening aarti.
  • Visited Feb-2017 Good spot to sit back , relax and just enjoy the view or as they say in Italian dolce far niente - the sweetness of doing nothing. Main entry point is holy gate till where one can reach by any vehicle. However post holy gate, streets are very small/ narrow, so either one walks or take cycle rickshaw (₹10 per ride) be careful of our ancestors -monkey- they are very apt at taking away glasses right from above your nose or purse etc. Other thing you may need to worry about is all those pandits who want offer you their service. Compared to 15 years back I saw very less amount of those, not sure if it was of season when I visited our structural there had been change in behavior. Best way is to just ignore them. Do try kanchori , local Street famous food - is usually given with grey vegetables. Be careful some of them are very chilly. Some also serve it with chilly chutni, one has to ask for sweet chutney. Lassi is only available during summer, few store do sell in winter but very very few. Boat ride cost ₹20 per person and gives 20-25 min tour. Again I think it's cheap bcoz I visited during off season, but sure thing to try. With regards to bathing in river, wouldn't really advise you for that. River seemed very dirty, so enjoy the view, boat ride , food and bit risky one feeding monkeys ;-)
  • Nice place.. Do try kachauris and pooris.. They are delicious.. Boating was a great experience too..
  • Would rate 5 stars if the roads were better. Overall experience was good. :)
  • Shri Yamune Maharani ki Jay.
  • Condition of Yamuna River is Terrible. Government should take necessary steps to recover it.
