  • On arrival I was surprised to have to pay for parking but accepted that it was fair when the price was to be reimbursed when we used an attraction. Some work was going on but the disturbance to beach goers was minimal. A fun day in the warm sea (cold water I do not go in!). Very fine lighthouse.
  • Amazing Place. The beach is beautiful. A really nice place to come with your friends and family and chill out. The people a here are helpful. There is a couple of foreign people who will give you lessons in surfing. The workers here try very hard to keep the beach clean. The way here through boat is nice. I always look forward to that. In short a nice beach with very good environment to chill out alone or with friends and family.
  • Highlights- Low on crowds, mostly young crowds on weekdays, a boat ride to get to this place, a historical monument at the starting point, decent enough food options, ample parking space, a tree park a km down the road, white fine sand. Cons- No place to stay ( bed n breakfast would be nice as a view of star studded sky is beautiful), not many things to do other than horse rides, atv rides n surfing.
  • If you decide to take a calm walk besides the ocean today, come over to tannirbhavi.  feeling of water below your feet is ethereal. Weeks days are perfect. Take a walk, read a book or just come over to have some positive deep-thoughts. If you liked to practice mindfulness, this can be your starting point. The beach is clean, neat and serene. The sea was roaring rough the day I visited though and the guards were cautioning the people not to mingle with the waves much as the sea appeared angry. The whole atmosphere is calm especially the backdrop of cluster of trees grown in discipline in one single row adds beauty to the place
  • The soft sands of the beach and breezy winds of Arabian Sea offer memorable experience. It is also a favourite spot to watch the sunset. You can see the remains of a ship which sank 15 years ago near the beach. This beach is comparatively deserted and is a great spot for safe swimming.
