  • Quite , no crowd, remote place to have a peaceful weekend. U can spend an entire day exploring the whole area back and front of the dam . Small hills around can also be hiked. Road to reach this place is very good. Yes, please make sure to take water bottles and also some food if u are willing to stay there for more time.
  • Really a pleasant place. It has got two entrance with one being closed and the way to backwaters will cost u 100rs to be paid to the guard. What I noticed is they don't charge for the localits !! You will definitely not allowed to go near the damn unless u pay again 150 or more to the guards!!
  • Scenic place on the way to savandurga hill. Best time to visit is during monsoon. Early morning will offer a very good view.
  • Relaxing place. But not a place to go if you're looking to kill more than a couple of hours. Take food/water bottles etc with you as there are no shops nearby.
  • The place is good but it's officially closed for tourist due to some contract change among government officials in charge of dam but the security people do take 30 to 50 rs to see the place from close range
