Hidimba Devi Temple, Manali

Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of Hidimba Devi Temple, a sanctuary in the Himalayan foothills dedicated to a deity from the Sanskrit epic Mahabharata. Dating back to the 16th century, the temple was built over a massive, jutting rock, a manifestation of the earth goddess. Interestingly, devotees here pay their respects to the lark rock, instead of an image of the deity. Admire the tall wooden tower and the sacred stone inside, or enjoy the atmosphere of the exterior, surrounded by a tranquil cedar forest. • This Temple is located 2km upper from the mall road. There are many way to go up to temple by stairs walking,by road with vehicle or walking. I will suggest you go walking as there is too much traffic sometimes as road going up is narrow vehicle also take time to go up. Temple is very beautiful and quite place to visit. There is outdoor activities which will also attract you near temple. Market is also available nearby the temple.
