Admire the daunting walls and intelligent engineering of Sindhudurg Fort, a 17th-century fortification built on an islet in the Arabian Sea. The fortress covers 19.4 hectares (48 acres), and its huge, 3 km (1.8 mi) long, 9.1 m (30 ft) high brick rampart offers ample defense from invaders and the sea. Enjoy some of the best scuba diving and snorkeling in the country around the islet, observing diverse marine life, or simply wander around the richly historical site, observing the fascinating building work. Consider bargaining with your boat ride for more time exploring the island. Arrange to visit Sindhudurg Fort and other attractions in Malvan using our Malvan vacation trip planner.

  • well constructed and maintained from long years ago. thrilling journey from beach to fort by sea route.
  • Fort is huge, beautiful in between the sea. It will be tiring in sunny weather. Good to go there with friends. You can reach there via ferry boats. We went there after scuba diving. Fort is not maintained, needs serious maintenance!
  • Awesome uncrowded place, a good place for scuba diving as well
  • Don't go in Summers and around the Perimeter. Also the fort wall is broken at one place so you cannot complete the perimeter
  • Great scenario
  • beautiful place
