  • I really loved this Museum, but also the parts more "fun" such as outdoor decoration, the demo 3D (a terrific experience!), aquaria where the attendant said kindly made several demonstrations. Finally, I took a Fish Pedicure foot bath. A delight when it's hot. All for a price really very accessible.

  • Should be in you must see list if you have toddlers or kids who love the sea world. It has lot of sea shells collected by a single person , aquarium with lots of fishes ,and a virtual reality show .loved it .The people showing around were also very friendly .
  • Kids and all age groups can enjoy seeing the great collection of shells. Also excited very much to see live star fish and other species in the aquarium. Also few more entertainments are available to enjoy. Don't miss it when going to Mahabalipuram.
  • This is one of it's kind. You will find varieties of seashells in this museum. It's a life time effort ones collection. You must visit this if you love to see seashells
  • Its ok-ok place. Nothing much interesting other than the Aquarium. Ticket Price is too high for this place. Cleanly maintained.

Where to stay in Mahabalipuram

Given the importance of its major attractions, Mahabalipuram offers a good number of accommodations across its main urban area. Thanks to the popularity of its coast, it has a large number of accommodations by the beach, too. Choose between the backpacker-friendly area around Othavadai Street, where budget hostels and boutiques provide the main options, and the massive resorts along the beach. Alternatively, Chennai lies just two hours away by bus, so many travelers choose to stay in the large city to the north and simply take day trips Mahabalipuram.
