Lingmala Waterfall, Mahabaleshwar

4.2
#2 of 7 in Nature in Mahabaleshwar
At Lingmala Waterfall, spend time enjoying yourself amid well-preserved nature. One of the tallest waterfalls in the area, at 152 m (500 ft), it offers an amazing view, especially during the monsoon season. However, during dry months, you can see only the lake beneath the falls. Take a short hike un the stairs to the top of the hill; you'll be rewarded with views of the amazing landscape, the falls, and the valley beneath you. Most kids can manage the hike, and the whole family should wear sturdy walking shoes, as the path can get slippery because of the rain. Make sure you bring your camera to take some amazing photos. • Very nice place, depends on the person- some like to visit in summer and some like to visit during rainy season. According to me, best time to visit is from June to October as it has very nice view of waterfall and greenery. I am sharing photos which I have clicked recently in March month. There are 2 sides 1 is very near from entrance it takes 100m walk on left side from entrance and to the right 500m walk, both are worth visiting. Be ready to walk!
  • Very good place to visit in winter and in rainy season. I visited in March, so it was dry. The scenery of Waterfall is awesome. There are two Waterfall, big and small one. Small one is quite enjoyable than bigger one. Try to visit by 7 am to see big size squirrel and other birds. Try to carry a proper camera.
  • Lingmala waterfall in Mahabaleshwar is a good place for trekking. You have to park the car on the Highway and walk down the mud path to reach there. You pass through a thick forest and meandering path to reach the spot from where you can see the Falls. After monsoon the fall is at the peak volume.
  • It is place for small picnic planning with family... The view of water fall is best.... best place for photography because it has many photo spot.. Also it is best place for couples for hangout Atmosphere here is wet and moisture... To reach the point long distance waking is necessary
  • Specially there are two waterfalls. When u walk towards the waterfall from the road by stairs so u will get a crossing where, will be two ways u can go with right one or left one.... Right one leads towards the waterfall which flow down around the height of 80 miter but u can't bath there Nd u will have to walk around 2 km. If u r fond of clicking pictures so u can go otherwise I will not give suggestion for elder to go there. .. The second one is very nice for everyone Nd for that you ha e to take left...
