Elephant's Head Point, Mahabaleshwar
Categories: Lookouts, Tourist Spots
Walk or take a pony ride to Elephant's Head Point, a popular vantage point offering incredible views of the surrounding landscape. A relatively short and easy walk through dense tree cover leads you to the rock formation and viewpoint, which takes its name from its resemblance to the head and trunk of an elephant. Enjoy this peaceful spot while taking in panoramic vistas of the Sahyadri mountain range. Keep an eye out for cheeky monkeys, who might try to pinch your belongings. Be prepared for changeable weather, especially during the monsoon season.
