Dudhsagar Falls, Madgaon

4.3
#1 of 16 in Nature in Goa
The tallest waterfall in India, Dudhsagar Falls is fed by the Mandovi River, which swells us massively with monsoon rain water. With an average width of 30 m (100 ft) and height of 310 m (1017 ft), the four-tiered waterfall truly inspires with its grand size. Many tour operators offer monsoon treks to this spot--the waterfall is at its most impressive during the wet season. The surrounding deciduous forests shelter rich plant and animal life. • Left early in the morning from Panaji. In the paragraph where the transit had moved from the bus on the jeeps, they offered us breakfast. Then divided by dzhipam. About 40 minutes of eerie jolts one way! ... The falls came before beginning to arrive the bulk of tourists. Beautifully! Pofotografirovali, plunged. Vodichka so fresh! And float large fishes! Said harmless carps. Monkey here bright things better not leave unattended. Although they say they are only interested in food. We have one pulled from the bag banana:) Well that went on a tour of early! When leaving, people came. In the parking lot of jeeps overcrowded. Swim too, probably not very. Back the same 40 minutes shaking. If someone suffers from travel sickness, it will be an unpleasant moment.

  • It's one of the best place to visit in Goa. Dudhsagar has a lots of great views and the true beauty of nature. You can enjoy the clean water and beautiful fall of water. Same time it's also very dangerous and you need to be very carefully there is a chance to slip and fall down. You wanna spend plenty of time here. You can enjoy food and beer with your friends and family.
  • Ultimate place. Me and my friends had lot fun here. Travel service is too good. Bit expensive but it doesn’t matter after visiting this place. I recommend every one please visit this on your Goa visit. Monsoon and winter is the right time to visit this place.
  • The experience has been wonderful...It was pleasing to listen to the sound of waterfalls whilst watching the greenery... The forest department's activity towards maintenance is on point...plastic is strictly prohibited.. Emergency situations are also taken care of due to the depth of the water by providing life Jackets.. The place is worth a visit in our lifetime.
  • As we all say, "God gives us life once." Then if you are in India-Goa then once you have to go to the Dudhsagar Falls. And if you want to go there, I'll give you a little bit of information There you can not use your vehicle to go up because there is very bad road to travel up side. So there you have to use the Forest carriage, and his 1 man's ticket is 400 rupees and the ticket is 30 rupees for the camera. And i will you share some photos and video, please see it.
  • Amazing Place. Just eat something or go early morning at 10.00 A.M so you can return by 1.45P.M. Nice and clean water. Be careful water force is too much. Best time to visit during Sept to Nov.

Where to stay in Goa

One of the more affordable regions for staying in India, Goa offers a good range of sleeping options, from budget to luxurious. Visitors looking for that feeling of home away from home can explore rental apartments, which offer more space than a hotel room and often come with fully equipped kitchens. Look for an apartment in Oxel or Siolim, peaceful villages with gated communities and a range of facilities. Beach houses and private villas offer an alternative for those with deeper pockets, while beach huts/shacks work well for budget-conscious travelers.
