Lion's Point, Lonavala

(3.9/5 based on 950+ reviews on the web)
Admire nature's majesty and panoramic views from Lion's Point, a breezy spot 650 m (2,133 ft) above sea level. You can see dozens of small waterfalls gushing out of the steep cliffs, green conical hills, and scenic Western Ghats from there. Monkeys, cows, and bulls will keep you company at the spot, most likely asking for food. Small vendors sell tea, cold drinks, bhutta, and snacks, so all you have to bring is a good pair of shoes for the uphill climb. For Lion's Point and beyond, use our Lonavala travel itinerary maker to get the most from your Lonavala vacation.

  • The clouds descend over you and drift alongside you among the mountains, if the time is right. Views are just great. Find the right spots and you can click some fine photos too.
  • Great in the monsoon.. Expect to be wet. Always consider a vehicle for round trip. You wont get any vehicle to return before bushi dam.. But if you want, u can walk your way to down, it will have a different experience.
  • One of the best view points in lonavala.. The road to lion point itself will you be awesome. One need to cross INS Shivaji to go to lion point. The weather was awesome and it was full of mist with very very less visibility. Persons who do not have prior experience in driving such conditions should exercise a lot of caution.
  • A quick spot for long drives around the year. It's safe around the clock. It has few food stalls for a quick tea or snacks. Most recommended to visit this place during monsoon season.
