Hall of Fame, Leh
(4.7/5 based on 1,000+ reviews on the web)
Hall of Fame commemorates the Indian Army soldiers who lost their lives in the India-Pakistan wars. On the ground floor you can gather information about the troops and learn details about their fates, as well as purchase souvenirs. On your way up to the first floor, examine the exhibited war artifacts, weaponry used during combat, and important documents. The museum's displays can help you imagine what high-altitude battles at -50 C (-58 F) looked like; you can also watch a 30-minute film about the 1999 Kargil War. Take a look at our Leh trip itinerary builder to schedule your visit to Hall of Fame and learn about what else to see and do during your holiday.

  • Excellent Museum showcasing the history of warfare in Ladakh and the bravery of Indian soldiers in defending the Ladakh region. The weapons and artifacts showcased are excellent
  • Must visit whoever is travelling to Leh. This museum give fair knowledge of our Indian Army's process and its missions. It has got one section where you can find all details of siachen glacier battle ground.Very informative.Big Salute.
  • Anyone visiting Leh should visit The Hall of Fame. We can get a fair good knowledge about how these soldiers sacrifice all the pleasures of life and family and are always guarding their country from the enemies at the cost of their lives. They are the real HEROES and yet they do not crave for fame or attention.
  • This is a museum maintained by the Indian Army and shows the History of Leh and the role of the defence forces in Leh, which is very near to the line of control with China, over the years. The museum makes one aware of the hard life and the struggle which the soldiers have to endure in protecting this region at high altitude. The museum charges a fee of Rs. 25 per person and Rs. 50 for each camera and each cellphone. Since this is an institution maintained by the Army, charging of fees doesn't seem logical. A must visit place.
  • Awesome neat and clean museum type information Centre for proud moment and events of Indian Army. Information about Laddakh region, wars, PVC awardees, Army officials etc.. Must visit. Keep Exploring..
