Was closed at least ten minutes before 1 pm. So could not go in. Took photographs outside as we munched on peanuts. Trash cans were available but some tourists preferred to use the hill slopes.
The church is located up in a corner after crossing some uphill roads. Nice view of the Himalayas and a peaceful place
Nice old church, with a pleasant backyard garden. Open for only a few hours on weekend mornings and evenings, but it's worth going inside. There's some newspaper clippings from early 1900s Lansdowne that took me back in time. Great views of the valley from across the road too!
An old church built during the British rule in India. It is now not religiously functional but the Garhwal Rifles have converted it into a mini museum sort of thing. Here you can buy tourist guide books and also books telling you about the flora and fauna of the place. They also show a short (10 minute) film on the projector telling you about the history of the Garhwal Rifles in a brief, concise and entertaining manner. It is also a nice place to click pictures as you get a very good view of the Himalayan range from here!
Old Historic Church, very well maintained by Indian Army now. Must visit if in Lansdowne
Worth the distance. Takes you back to the 1870s. There's a concrete bench to sit on nearby the church which gives an amazing view of the valley below!
Across the road from the church, you get a better view than Tip n Top. Also, there is a shortcut from here to Bhulla Tal and the market. The 'shortcut' is itself a beautiful walk.
