  • Friendly visit with a guide with a lot of humor to help visitors discover the spices grown in Kerala. Rather well-stocked shop. Forget the saffron, which does not grow in the corner and too expensive sandalwood.

  • Fantastic place to see rare surprising varieties of plants. Extremely helpful and friendly host. A must visit place in Kumily.
  • Kumily is a spice growing center for many of the state's best quality spices. So, when I was here in Kumily, I had to visit a spice garden. There are many gardens here which turned to semi tourism for additional income as well as selling spices directly to tourists. I came here with a friend who knew the folks here. I have never been to a spice garden before this, so I didn't know what to expect. The front of the garden seemed small, only when I entered into the compound, there's a huge farm behind. For benefit of tourists, the front portion were planted with a lot of local plants, trees and flowers, and I was given a explanatory tour. As we headed deeper into the plantation, all sorts of spice plants were introduced to me. These include cardamon, cloves, star anise, cocoa, pepper, nutmeg, and many more. The visit was not rushed, I was just taking my time looking at the unripe pods and spices. Quite enlightening if one hasn't seen raw green spices before. Overall, it was very enjoyable, and the staff that was bringing me around was really patient and polite. Happy to have visited.
  • If somebody wants real spices garden, they should go to Abraham's spices garden. No doubt we can see there deferent types of herbal plants and spices arround the garden. I am strogly recommending his spices garden to all, if wanted to see genuine spices garden.
  • Fantastic garden. The owner really well explained the différent spices and flowers and even in French !
  • We took a great tour of the property and learned so much. Amazing how many different things can grow in this region. Ended up buying a lot of spices on the way out. No regrets.
