Kappad Beach, Kozhikode
Categories: Beaches, Historic Sites, Nature & Parks, Outdoor Activities, Tourist Spots
The historic spot where Vasco da Gama landed in Kerala, Kappad Beach remains a clean rock-studded stretch of red sand where you can dip your feet in the blue water or watch fishermen draw their long nets. Serene and tranquil compared to other area beaches, this attraction features a modest obelisk marking the historic landing site and an 800-year-old temple, adding a bit culture to an otherwise ordinary sun-and-sand experience. Loved it because it was less crowded, more cleaner and definitely more serene than Calicut beach. Perfect for families or couples! Ample areas to park, a few shops..
Very Beautiful and Clean Beach in Calicut. Vey much Relaxing and Views are Really Appreciable.

This is where Vasco de Gama landed via sea and there by became the first one to reach India via sea. It's a clean Beach
Neat and better than calicut beach
It's a good beach, but not recommended for swimming. There are couple of resorts nearby. Beach is not very well maintained, but they have tried and done some improvements.
