Where to stay in Kottayam

Kottayam offers an eclectic mix of large resorts, tacky modern hotels, waterside villas, and small guesthouses catering to a diverse range of visitors. Smaller, more intimate guesthouses tend to cluster around the center of the city, while larger resorts can be found on the outskirts or near the area's many waterways. Many visitors choose to stay about 10 km (6.2 mi) to the west of the city proper, on the scenic shores of Lake Vembanad.

  • Happy to see the the renovated ancient lord Ganesh temple in kottayam. Really good temple to visit.
  • A must visit for all Hindus. Peaceful & devine.
  • As reviewed by many contributors, this temple is rather newly built ( when compared to the other heritage / ancient temples) . Yet the temple oozes peace, sanctity and above all divinity! all the traditions are followed to the core ! The temple has many upa devathas which are all spread across the temple area. Very neatly maintained. The speciality of this temple is the 'Coconut offering' which can be purchased for a dime. It is meant to remove all obstacles and help complete your wishes! A must go temple on the slight deviation, enroute to ettumanoor from kaduthuruthy.
  • A exiting tempil and peaceful place
  • A good place for your prayers to be answered. The place is too small compared to its reach over the beleivers
