  • Bay Island Driftwood Museum is situated in Kumarakom, District Kottayam, Kerala. Easily accessible from Kumarakom and Kottayam as Kerala Transport busses are frequently available. This museum is managed by a Trust and it was founded by Mrs. Reno Punnose a didicated lady. As she had never seen any art college or institutions but during her stay in Andaman and Nicobar Islands she noticed these wooden like roots at shores. Her husband helped her to understand about these driftwood. An interest developed and she started moving on various nearby Island immediate after minor tsunamis as they are often and they only bring these ar tifacts at shores, mostly of Rosewood just like a metal as they are seasoned and crafted at the sea bed for thousands years by the Ocean. Some items are very heavy but she alone could manage to bring. She just worked a little on all the items and after that they are turned to art pieces. Her innovative work is recorded in Limca Book of Records and in India Book of Records, all these were the great rewards and recognition to her dedication. This museum is is just one in the Country of this kind.
  • A rare and unique museum. All the artefacts here are the fruits of 25 year work, perseverance and creativity of Mrs. Raji Punnoose. Inspiring stories!
  • Bay Island Driftwood Museum is situated in Kumarakom, Kottayam District, Kerala. The driftwood so collected has been sculpted into various forms such as flowers, animals, and humans and present an interesting and unique exhibit.
  • A wonderful Museum where the sculptures are displayed, created by Ocean and it is in the Limca Book Of Records and India Book Of Records, Managed by Mrs. Raji.
  • A very unusual place and personally I don't feel it is worth even 80 Rp to get in. Maybe I'm just not spiritual enough and I'm sure the museum isn't scientific enough :)
