  • Very beautiful place. Must visit this place with your family. Its an historic palace where queen Victoria stayed for many years when British ruled India. Now it becomes a museum where queen Victoria's used utensils has been kept here. Even some photographs of old Calcutta is placed inside the museum. Its very beautiful inside. One will see old large size sword and big guns there. Its very helpful for children to get knowledge of some historical equipment's which is used for war against British. But beware of the couple's who sit outside of museum. Otherwise the Victoria memorial hall is very beautiful place to visit with family. Entry fees also very cheap. One can easily afford the ticket cost. Thank you.
  • Historical place. Very well maintained. You will find nicely maintained garden outside the palace. There is water body near the palace. It's very soothing to be near water body. Those who are very much interested in historical facts, they will really enjoy being inside the museum but for others it's not the place to be. But the palace and surroundings are great. For all the instructions, please refer to the posted photos. No photography allowed inside the museum. Outside photography is allowed. It's a place for all generations. so all in all it's a nice place.
  • Nice place to visit really a great site specially when you are travelling with family. You can take metro also but you have to walk a little bit. But you can get cab easily over there. Best time to visit there is second half. Best place for photo shoot and photographers. And the security is really great
  • Beautiful place. Has more history of English people than Indians. Maximum portion of the museum is closed for public. Beautiful marble work in and outside of it. Garden is not that great. Still one can come with family and enjoy the garden picnic there. Do not forget to bring food, water and playing items. Public is advised not go to near the boundary walls in order not to destroy their mood.
  • It's a marble palace made between 1906-1921, nearly 100 years old! It was dedicated to Queen Victoria. Now it's a public attraction having a Museum inside the palace hall (open 10am-5pm), and the palace is surrounded by large green garden. Decoration on marble walls worth notice, so is museum. Garden is open from 5:30am-6:15pm (5:45am-5:30pm October-February). Garden is excellent for morning walk and Yoga or exercise. Entry fee Rs 20 for Indian Citizen and Rs 200 for Foreign Citizen, allowing both garden and museum visit.
