Millenium Park, Kolkata (Calcutta)

Categories: Theme Parks, Water & Amusement Parks
Inspirock Rating:
3.8/5 based on 120+ reviews on the web
Take a stroll on the promenade of Millenium Park and let your worries go. The private grounds stand on the eastern side of the river stretching for around 2.5 km (1.5 mi). Enjoy a walk through the perfectly neat gardens given to the public by the Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority back in 1999. Bring a picnic basket and kick back to enjoy the nature around you, or sit on the riverside benches and absorb the city landscape. Families will appreciate the playground area with arcade games for the children. Time your visit since the park is a hot spot for couples. • Right now I am visiting this park. Beautiful park, very clean. The park has three parts. Third one is newly inagurated. The Howrah bridge looks great from this point. Entry fee is only Rs 5/-. If you love nature you should visit this park. The beauty of Ganges river and Howrah bridge makes you happy and healthy. :)
  • It is situated exactly opposite of Howrah station. If anyone want to visit here they can reach by ferry from Howrah ferry ghat. Or if anyone want to come from Esplanade (Dharmotala), then take a taxi or bus towards Howrah. Millennium park adds more beauty to the city of joy Kolkata. It makes the river bank of Ganga more gorgeous and peaceful. It is the best place for evening walk and family picnic.

  • I went there in evening so I couldn't seen much there. There were some seating arrangements and some flowers and garden and some snacks shop. It's situated on bank of Hooghly river so you can enjoy the feeling of river and boats. In the evening time I saw that lovebirds were enjoying fully in bush of park. I think this park is for lovebirds only which frequently seen in Kolkata.
