India's biggest and oldest zoo, Kolkata Zoo & Zoological Garden tells a comprehensive story about the diverse wildlife living in this part of the world. Established in 1875 and spanning a total of 18 hectares (45 acres), the zoo shelters the nearly extinct Aldabra giant tortoises, elephants, rhinos, Bengal tigers, white tigers, African lions, giraffes, deer, and zebras in large enclosures.   • Good collections of Animals and other features were there but very poorly maintained. Was feeling sad and bad for animal, all looked hungry and sad. Park is big and greenery but need lots of cleanline...  read more »
  • The zoo is big and there are lots of different animal species. However, due to paucity of space, the animals are in a very bad condition. Also, the area is full of litter from unruly visitors.
