  • Great historical place of Rabindranath Tagore. It has been transformed into a museum and is home to many of the objects of literature and art pertaining to the family. The light and sound show in the evening is a breathtaking journey to the past.
  • Jorasanko Thakur Bari is a awesome place to visit. If you are a Bengali speaking person then you must visit this place. The whole place is maintained state government and I have to tell you man that they have done an amazing work. At first you have to pay rupees 50 for photography. Then if you are a foreigner then you have to pay 150/- otherwise if you are an Indian then the entry fee is rupees 20 per head. If you are a student then after concession the entry fee will be RS 10. At first to enter the museum you must keep your shoes in a compartment. After entering the main building you will fall in love with the magistic beauty of this place. Each and every rooms are highly decorated. You will understand that at that time how big this house was. A lot of rooms with uncountable numbers of doors and windows. You have to see the whole place very slow. It will take an hour to see the whole place.
  • Historic place - the birthplace and ancestral home if Tagore. His rooms are decently maintained. Some of his personal items, and that of other illustrious family members are on display. There are a couple of painting galleries with some originals. Sadly, not all paintings are indexed or explained. And the exhibitions-Tagore in China, Japan, USA, etc are sad. Many exhibits are not marked or explained, and some make you go "huh?".
  • I had enjoyed a lot over visiting there with my College's class mates and along with my Respected teachers. This place will make you feel that Ribindranath Tagore's artistic skills still exists there and you can somehow feel his whistling of last breath. This place had given me lot of inspiration and some pleasing moments.
  • Serene and Peaceful. A walk down the memory lane. Extra Charges for DSLRs and other cameras apply.
