  • The museum needs lots of maintenance work. I feels it is not up to the mark and is not rich on the culture and Heritage that India has.  more »

  • This place is really awesome and best for some History And Geography lover. The place has a huge ancient collection of stones, ancient paintings, textiles. It sets a good example of ancient history of Egypt,. India and Persia. They also have a department where one can see mommies. The environment was also good and the total place is fully disciplined. It's a good place for photography, yet in some places photography is prohibited.
  • It covers a vast area, it really portray the Indian culture since ancient age. It would take actually a full day to go through the museum with moderate details. It's a very good place to take your kids who are in class 6 to 9, they could actually relate them well. The coin section, the ivory crafts, and the Mummy are must see. Parking is not available so app cab is the best for this purpose, there is no food zone so carry chocolates for a quick bite.
  • Indian museum - the largest and oldest museum in India. One can easily spend an entire week here if one is interested in history. There are artifacts from around the world. Entry fee of 20. This place is very nearby to the park Street area. There is no dedicated parking space. You can however park your car or two wheeler below the flyover nearby. I would however prefer to come in a taxi than my own car here.
  • This place is a house of tons and loads of information related to various subjects. Ancient history, geography, biology, economics n what not. It’s a scholar’s paradise. At least half a day required to go through all of it at once. Best if you can spend the entire day here. I bet you won’t regret visiting here. You’ll realise how little do you know of this gigantic world.
  • A must visit if you love history and stuffs. Lots of sculptures escavated from various parts of India is a major attraction. Fossils museum is an another important part. A real mummy from Egypt is also exhibited. You need 20₹ ticket for entry, and make sure the luggage and backpack are kept aside the luggage room just beside the entry ( it's free). Photography is not restricted in most of the area. A cafeteria and properly maintained washroom are there.
