  • It's a really nice museum with lot of interesting n informative things to keep u interested. The building is of British- India architecture. Cool experience n suitable for all age groups. Many tourists visit this museum with some saying it to be one of the best in India. Entry ticket/fee is Rs. 50 for adults n 20 for below 18 yrs. No fee for 3yrs or less. I especially loved the mummy.
  • Huge collection that might take entire day if you really keen. But staff here not helpful and no guide for available. Cloak room is there but don't keep valuable items. Clean restroom. 2 stories that can be assessed by wheelchair too but no lift. There is a 4000yr old mummy from Egypt. And geology section is vast. Especially good for kids to learn Biology. They close it at 4.30 sharp
  • The best museums in the country. It is India's largest museum. The geology exhibit is really vast and there are a lot of things to see. The paleontology section is worth seeing. It is the only Indian museum to have an actual Egyptian mummy on display for the public. The history exhibits are also really vast. Detailed viewing can take more than a day. Located at a very convenient place. Really well connected by the metro and buses and taxis obviously. The region around the museum contains lots of good food joints this place near marketing area new market esplanade
  • One of the best museum of India. It is located between Esplanade and Park Street. It is easily visible from a moving vehicle in the normal traffic. It has an Egyptian mummy which is the major attraction of this museum. There are collection of old coins, stone, metal and wooden carvings. It takes you to the old age period. Children love exploring this place. Charges are nominal but no parking space available near the museum. 👍
  • It is the largest museum in the country and it contains all the ancient relics from animal fossils to many sculptures, arts and scriptures. You have a lot of things to see inside and you will enjoy seeing them. Photography is allowed unlike many museums. It is visible from normal traffic. It is located near Park Street. The building is old established in 1814.
