Eden Gardens, Kolkata (Calcutta)

The noisiest stadium in India, Eden Gardens has witnessed some of the finest matches in the history of cricket. Before it underwent renovations in 2011, the "cricket's answer to the Coliseum" could host over 100,000 spectators. Today, it is still the largest cricket ground in the country and the second largest in the world with 66,000 seats. Notice the posters outside the stadium depicting India's famous cricket players. • Mecca of Cricket in India. Its an honour of any player around the world to play and perform here. Many historical and important matches have been played here. Earlier football matches were also held here. Legendary Pele also played here in friendly football match long ago.
  • It is a very beautiful and big garden. This is heaven of cricket. The greatest stadium. I think, It has the capacity of over sixty five thousands people, which is highest in India. If any body wants to see cricket match here then try to book ticket at L or J blocks. Other blocks are covered by the people through match day. It's most favourable place.
  • The best cricket stadium in India and also one of the best stadium in the world..... If anybody wants to see cricket match then try to book ticket at L or K block. This blocks are covered by shadow through out the day.... B block also can be booked for seeing Indian Cricketers from close as practice net for Indians usually set up just beside B block... But at noon sun light directly falls on entire B block.....
  • Concrete seats were fun. Plastic has taken the fun out of it. Old-timers know the fun of cramming 5 people in the space for 3, and standing and jumping on the seats. Another disappointment is the reduction in the number of fixture in each floodlight tower. Even with these changes, this place remains as charming as ever.
  • It is one of the best cricket stadium across the world...The most beautiful in my eyes... I have a few games here... Everytime I get more enjoyment than the before... I feel proud of it... It has a capacity of about ninty thousands people at a time....You must have to come here and enjoy a game once in your life...
