  • a wonderful initiative taken by the government of west Bengal for a healthy environment... this Eco park is the best place for your morning yoga and rejuvenate yourself... on the other hand it is also the best place for family and couples to enjoy and spend their time... spread over more than a land of 450 acres with a huge lake in middle, this place has become a favorite spot for many people in the city.... this park provides you with all kind of recreational activities one being cycling.... and not to worry about the food because this site includes one of the finest restaurants as well serving authentic Bengali cuisines and other foods too, "cafe ekante".... one interesting thing recently introduced is the Japanese garden which depicts several Japanese believes, adding to it is the Japanese restaurant with authentic menu.... the latest addition to this has been the 7 wonders of the world which is grabbing attention of the whole city....
  • I can't rate it. Because it is depending upon your requirements. If you prefer to spend a quite time with your dear ones then it will be not suitable for you. But if you want to spend time with family and children's then it will be very good for you. All we have is priorities. I visited here several times. And having a good experience, I can share few things. Pros:: 1. More then enough spaces for roaming and enjoying. It is really a very very big park with lots of sparks and rides. 2. It has 4 main gates with proper guide. 3. Timing also very preferable. From Tuesday to Sunday. Monday closed. 4. Very well decorated and maintained. 5. Children will be more happy then anyone. Cons:: 1. Toilet is one of the very big problem. As the park is very big, so when you reach one side to another then you can't find a toilet near you. Specially ladies toilet is very much issuing. The authority should focus on this issue. 2. The charges of the rides and sparks are much higher then normal. Not affordable. 3. Very very congested. Though the park very big, but peoples also visit in huge. 4. No ATM or any cash desk facilities. Stores also don't accept ATM cards. You should be prepared with hard cash. But overall it is very beautiful and nice. We shold not focus on the negatives. We are all human being and we have to focus on possibilities. We can and only we can improve.
  • One of the best "Park" experience one can have in the entire East! You should go with ample time in hand to have a glimpse of the major parts if not all. It in fact is almost impossible to grasp the total Park in only 1 day! It is amazingly LARGE! It is so large that you would feel the need of proper conveyance to reach the different zones in the park which are quite far from one another. Mind it - Try to visit on a non-holiday else you will swarmed HUGE crowd! Take your family. You may carry your food, though okay kind of restaurants are there, along with large sheets to lay of the grass and sit to relax after a long stroll through the aisles gardens and the amazing water body in the heart of the park. The authorities should hand over a route map along with the tickets here. Else it is almost certain that you will miss the most of the place just being unaware what to kind where. They can also arrange their in-house guides to help people who can afford spending some extra. But it will be worth spending few extra bucks to watch the entire park at one go! Almost a near perfect experience which can be made better if the authorities can fine tune a few things here and there giving an international experience right in Kolkata!
  • It's a great place for a family outing or a hangout with friends. The place is huge and the weather, fantastic. It has an awesome environment and the sunset view is beyond words. The newly constructed 'Seven Wonders' is a treat to watch. Do give it a visit. The greenery will soothe your nerves and act as an escape from the din and bustle of everyday life :-)
  • Great place if you love nature and need some fresh air! However, do not forget to carry an umbrella and sunscreen of you're going during the day. The Japanese Forest is definitely the point of attraction but the little Fuji restaurant in it has very little to offer. If you're planning on visiting for an entire day I'd recommend you eat at the smaller shops in the park or eat out instead. Apart from just strolling around and seeing the Japanese forest which will cost you an extra 30 bucks after paying for the the ticket you buy at the entrance gate for 30 bucks, you can boat ride and cycle around as well, both of which I'm guessing you have to pay for. I haven't done either but I do remember seeing a signboard saying so. So, you get the point. You gotta spend a little if you want a worthwhile experience. But, if you're like me and would just like to sit under a tree, read a book, watch nature and observe people, it's definitely a great place! Perhaps, you can do some yoga or go for an uninterrupted run! Oh, and yeah, how can I forget, it's a good place for couples I guess. I see too many of those. :P
