  • No bird is there. We went there to see birds, but got disappointed since no bird was there. Only crow and sparrow is seen , however very difficultly.  more »
  • You could see so many types of birds at this place if you visit during winter season. Generally migrating birds came to this place during winter.  more »
  • The place is approximately 2 hours from Kolkata city. Try to visit in the morning when a lot of birds come out and make sure you find a water body so you can see a variety of birds. The walk inside sa...  more »

  • Beautiful developed abode for birds, butterflies, rodents, snakes etc. Must have a very good camera for the photography. Very hot during summer and high humidity due to surroundings make one uncomfortable. Lots of mosquitoes, flies and spiders around. Always wear full sleeves while going there to avoid mosquito bites. Keep some anti allergic medicine would be handy. Some water bodies could have been developed where birds would visit regularly giving some opportunities for photography. There could have been some more notice board giving meaningful information. If it rains while you are inside the sanctuary, you are sure to get wet. An adventurous trip half completed. Need to visit that again.
  • Its a nature lover retreat. Its easily approachable very near to locality but at the same time full of biodiversity. Different types of trees shrubs and creepers along with variety of birds and insects will definitely make your visit worthy. A nature photogrphers paradise.
  • I love this place because this place is very clam and quit (rather than sunday). This place offers very good opportunity to photograph birds. It also a very good place for macro photography.
  • This is one place where you can find the essence of forestry within Kolkata. Total 53 bigha land covered by guard wall. Inside of this sanctuary you will find mainly several kinds of mango tree including hapus mango tree. This is one public property acquired by forest department. There is some entry fee in around Rs. 60 per head. Moreover the place is so quite and peaceful. But in summer and rainy season proper covered shoe is recommended for snake and other insects. People do wildlife photography here.
  • Well kept bird sanctuary. Photographers paradise. Best season is winters. However, with rapidly upcoming housing projects, bird numbers have declined.
