  • This is a really fascinating place for young kids. They have shows in both English and regional languages. Really educating and entertaining for kids and adults alike.

  • I am from odisha and visited several time to kolkata. In march i got a chance to visit this planetarium. Its a nice planetarium. If you are in kolkatta please visit this place atleast once.
  • Definitely a very nice planetarium considering its size however the presenter was really poor and kept on yelling at everyone during the show. I can understand the frustration she had with people being on their phones and disrupting the darkness, however I thought that her yelling did more to pull me out of the show than the light of the phones.
  • It is incorrectly stated that the M. P. Birla Planetarium is permanently closed. This is an absolutely false statement. The Planetarium is going through an exhaustive phase of renovation. The new projectors being installed will make it one of the best in the world ! The renovation work is going on in full swing. The Planetarium will open to the public within another six months.
  • the place is best for school children specially who are enthusiastic about astro science.
  • Currently going through renovations. the renovations will be completed by April, 2016. Happy returns!!!
  • Visited this place a long time ago during my childhood days. One of the famous tourist attractions of Kolkata. Now a days I often see this place and its digital clock placed outside from bus.
