#2 of 13 in Parks in Kodaikanal
Forest Nature / Park
Take in the fresh air during a stroll through Pine Forest. Planted in 1906 by a businessman keen to make money growing valuable timber, the forest features the tall conifers growing in ordered lines. With the forest floor covered in needles, the area has a particularly magical feel to it, and kids in particular are bound to enjoy whizzing between the trees. The colors, height, and even layout of the forest makes the area particularly photogenic. Put Pine Forest at the forefront of your travel plans using our Kodaikanal holiday planner.

Where to stay in Kodaikanal

Unsurprisingly, the most upmarket accommodations in Kodaikanal sit by the lake. Offering extensive views of the central water features and the hills rolling off into the horizon, the rooms in such establishments usually come with a nice set of amenities including onsite spas, restaurants, and pools. Shoestring travelers that want a central location can opt for simple hotels in the town center to the east, while those wanting to get out of town altogether will find a few scattered hotels along the main roads, as well as rental bungalows in secluded spots.
