Pillar Rocks, Kodaikanal
(3.7/5 based on 650+ reviews on the web)
Jutting out from the surrounding forest, Pillar Rocks create an imposing natural focal point amid an already dramatic landscape. The three giant rock pillars, around 122 m (400 ft) in height, rise out of a thick surrounding forest. The main viewpoint from which to see the rocks can get pretty busy, but definitely wait your turn to see them unobstructed. At such a great height, clouds regularly cover the pillars, but when they break through, the effect is all the more memorable. Using our custom trip planner, Kodaikanal attractions like Pillar Rocks can form part of a personalized travel itinerary.

  • It is one of the main attractions in kodaikkanal. It is a set of three giant rock pillars which stand nearly a 100 metres high. The viewpoint can be crowded but is not commercialized. There is an excellent public garden adjacent to the viewpoint. Very beautiful tourist spot.
  • Very nice and calm locations, good scenic, beautiful view. Valley view is also nice, a must watch place in Kodai
  • One of the attractive view point in Kodai kanal.
  • Superb views available from this point. The scenery is amazingly breath taking. A place not to be missed for sure.
  • Take a selfie with pillar rocks behind you... good place to visit if you are at kodai
