Bear Shola Falls, Kodaikanal
Categories: Waterfalls, Nature & Parks
Enjoy nature and dip yourself into a pool underneath Bear Shola Falls, a seasonal waterfall in a reserve forest soaring during the monsoon season. Gushing from a 12 m (40 ft) tall cliff, the water crashes into a small pool underneath over smooth boulders. Named after bears which came to drink water from the top of the falls, the site stands at the end of a 10 minute walk from the nearest car park through a gently climbing trail. Tea water and snacks are sold at the entrance to the trek during monsoon season as the falls are best viewed in September-October.
