Iruppu Falls, Thirunelly

4.1
Waterfall · Nature / Park
A major tourist attraction and a pilgrimage spot, Iruppu Falls plunge perpendicularly from a height of 52 m (170 ft) in the Brahmagiri range. Believed to possess the power to cleanse one's sins, the place draws thousands of Sri Ram devotees who seek blessings from a temple en route to the falls. Particularly arresting in full capacity during monsoon season, this freshwater cascade lies 48 km (30 mi) from Virajpet on the highway to Nagarhole. Access the site via a 2-3 km (1.5 mi) hike amidst lush greenery. Expect to get wet even if standing far away from the falls. Choose to start, finish, or center your holiday on a trip to Iruppu Falls by using our Thirunelly online tour planner.
