History Museum
Learn the secret histories, ancient myths, and proud traditions of Kerala at Kerala Folklore Museum, an original and varied cultural heritage institution. Started in 2009 as a nonprofit organization by a husband-and-wife team, the museum collects artifacts from across the state and throughout the centuries. The resulting narrative includes everything from Stone Age utensils to 20th-century musical instruments. Take a moment to appreciate the historical building itself--a composite of remnants from a 16th-century temple, wooden carvings from across the state, and parts of other traditional buildings. • Great place to spend an hour or so learning about local folklores and culture. Place is densely packed with historic artifacts it feels like a funky gift shop. Easy to get to also, kind of just next to the bridge if you're heading in or out of the fort
  • Great Collection. Its preserve our culture. We can know our history and culture from that collection.
  • The mueseum is privately owned with high number of artifacts kept in 3 floors. Big ones and old ones. There is an entry fees in addition to camera fees.
  • Good place.. a bit tight as there are many items at display and the place is flooded with items.. bit pricy but good for one time visit.... kathakali shows are on demand too with price tag of 15k plus , kindly check for latest price, it might work for groups with not much time
  • Museum was awesome and beautiful. But receptionist was very rude and other staff was only helpful to the foreign customers.
