  • Well, I would like to say that you should spend a half a day in here at least but the heat might consume you. First of all, it is a phenomenal museum. It is a collection of items by a family with no order, rhyme or reason to them. Everything you can imagine and can't imagine is here. It is all piled into this building that has so little air to breathe. We went in February but because this is a naturally hot part of the country, nothing could have kept us cool. Hence, you might have to limit your time unless you fan yourself the whole time. The presentation was interesting but they can't point out everything. We were a group of 8 and none of us took the option to purchase a ticket to take pictures, but our guide went ahead and bought it for the group. We were glad he did because there is so much to see and look at that you will have to digest it later when you have more time. You'll enjoy seeing this museum as there isn't a lot to see in Cochin. But beware of the heat. You'll have to take your shoes off too!
  • This place is heaven for those who simply loves art and history. It is a well maintained space. All the artifacts are properly placed and preserved. The best part was the interlocking system used for the second floor ceiling. I was highly impressed to see that age old ceiling holding the place right. The girls that are appointed to explain the facts were warm and friendly. Overall it was an amazing experience.
  • Folklore Museum aims to provide art education to the students and helping to provide visual and academic knowledge to the art lovers, researchers and travelers from all over the world. Folklore museum is the only architectural museum in Kerala and the treasure trove of stone, wood and bronze sculptures, ancient terracotta, stone Age objects, jewellery, paintings, oil lamps, musical instruments, tribal and folk art, wood works, utensils, masks and traditional art forms etc. these are around 4000 artifacts from tiny to large size on display. This ethnic museum is the essence of the life and culture of the common man over the past 1000 years. It is jammed pack with relics and no there wasn’t detailed descriptions but it was filled with unusual items that told a story of a people. It isn’t like a traditional museum. There are some magnificent pieces and ones you might not see elsewhere. If you like art, culture and light history you will enjoy this place. The staff was helpful. Look at the building and the ceilings. That alone is worth the visit. Would have been nice to have more descriptions of the artifacts.
  • traditional historical items and south cultural designs. every floor has a unique blend of historical facts n items. first we thought it's govt maintenance but it's maintained by private person. overall the museum in small place with few floors and we can know about the kochi king history. most of the items n pictures are really good but some pictures r scary looking.
  • 100 rs entrance fees. If u want to take photographs, then extra 100rs charge. I suggest to pay that extra 100rs and take photos inside because its worth spending 100rs on pictures. Awesome place. 3 floors. Overall i liked it very much
