  • The temple was easily accessble from Kochi. I just booked a taxi online and went. The temple itself is beautiful with deities of two Devis. There is a separate entry for women.

  • Lord Shiva is also worshiped at the temple. People suffering from mental illnesses commonly visit the temple, as Bhagawati is thought to cure her devotees. One should not miss the 'Guruthi Pooja' in the 'Keezhkkaavu' temple at Chottanikkara. This is a ritual done at late evening to invoke the goddess. Earlier 'Guruthi Pooja' was done only on Fridays. But nowadays, it is performed every day.
  • Powerful and ancient Devi temple, beautiful atmosphere around this area and such a calm and peaceful area. Crowded on hindu special days and festival seasons.

  • It is very immense with the different temples and the ghat. There is a huge number of people that every day goes to pray to this amazing temple and is interesting to see the procession around the temple, the walk to the other temple that is next to the ghat. It is impressive
