  • It is a beautiful place with greenery all around and lies away from the noise and pollution of the city. There are two ways for trekking- the easy one and the tough one. The people who are more familiar and comfortable with trekking can go for the latter one while beginners can choose the former. The path is such that one needs to move to the left of the entrance and then follow the road taking the pump house as the origin. Arrows displayed on the trees need to be followed further.  For the challenging route, one needs to move to the right from the entrance which will lead to the forest directly. There will be some streams and waterfalls on the way over. The elevation is of 375m which is not at all difficult to climb. Once the base area of the forest is reached, there are railings to climb.
  • Reach here early morning during the winters if your aim is to see the birds. Avoid noisy weekends. Carry long lenses to spot the tiny birds. For trekkers it's a good experience. The trek is not that long but don't let it cool you. It's challenging, is steep. The panoramic view is breathtaking. Carry sufficient water, no plastic allowed in the sanctuary.
  • Karnala Bird Sanctuary is a lovely place which has lots of varieties of bird species. It has rare trees, plants and herbs too. Well kept place. Worth visiting with your family and friends. Very safe for kids. Parking is available.
  • This is good place for people who've just started trekking or is the first time! Difficulty level is somewhere 4.5/10 considering a patch in between that takes a lot of trouble! The view is beautiful atop! Best to visit during monsoon, but since the place becomes slippery, be careful. Things to carry: 1) Basic first aid 2) Shoes compulsory 3) at least 3 lits of water 4) snacks 5) Some energy bars or Energy drinks! Happy Trekking!
  • In the morning it feels great to go there and there are few rare species of birds which are kept in the cages. But you can go to the karnala fort which takes approximately one and half hour to reach from bottom to top but you need to keep water bottle and snacks with you. There are few wild animals but you would be lucky if you get to see it.
