  • It was very disappointing as we cant go to that statue you can see it from rock memorial or any other place..
  • Nice statue, one can't miss to see this. It's quite big statue. Perfect place for to take some snap and spend sometime.
  • We couldn't visit the statue as the authorities had closed the area due to high tides in the sea and choppy weather. But the statue was visible from the swami vivekanad memorial and it indeed is huge.

  • Thiruvalluvar Statue is located on the rock besides the rock which has Vivekanand Rock Memorial. It's located half a kilometer away from the mainland of India. This is a beautifully carved tall statue of eminent Tamil poet and philosopher Thiruvalluvar. Ferry services were not running to this rock. We watched it from Vivekanand Rock Memorial. The intricate designs and fine.
  • Amazing sight here! Thiruvalluvar watching over South India. A must visit when coming to Kanyakumari. When I was here, the boat didn't stop at the statue itself, but even the view from the Rock Memorial of the statue was amazing. Good idea to view both sunrise and sunset, because at this point, East and West converge into the tip of South India!
  • The statue of great tamil legend. Yagavar aginum nakagah...
  • Good to see. But we couldn't go there. Boat was stationed at Vivekananda Rock memorial. It would have been better if the visitors are allowed to go there. It's seasonally opened. Well maintained.
  • Majestic Statue (133ft) of the great Tamil poet Thiruvalluvar. It weighs around remarkable 7000 tonnes. Sincerely I had never heard of this great poet before. But little research on the internet showed what a great legend he was during the 3rd century. His contribution to tamil Literature and influence on the Nanda dynasty is very remarkable.
