Known for its azure waters and exotic ambience, Payyambalam Beach lets you rejuvenate and reinvigorate. The easily accessible beach constantly attracts the eye of Indian movie producers, which has led to the rapid rise of its popularity. Take a relaxing walk on the silvery sands, or hit the waves to indulge your water sport passions. Nearby, explore the 16th-century Portuguese museum-fort, the historical cluster of hills, or the famous fishing harbor. The beach can get very crowded during the annual festival dedicated to folk arts and music. Payyambalam Beach is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our international travel planner, Kannur Edition.

  • Its extremely crowded in the mornings/evenings. Parking is big problem. On evenings you may witness traffic jams and no space to park. Lot of local crowd and hence not much peaceful.
  • Best to avoid this, it's too crowded in the evening ,if you would really like to , best time to visit is early in the day.
  • I had expected water sports etc but wasn't there so it was like any other beach. If you have a beach in your resorts you can just relax there and skip this.
