  • A nice place to visit and soak into a colonial past that involved the Dutch, the French and the English. It could be promoted as a getaway space if only the infrastructure around the township is spruced up. Lack of adequate infrastructure has its tell tale effect here. Wish the authorities wake up and do something about this. Does the proximity to a nuclear station prevent development, I think not.
  • Heard from Locals that it has underground tunnels which connects to Pondicherry which is about 70kms away from here. But not sure how true is it. Very much under maintained. Can be made as a historical tourist spot.
  • Nice place to visit in your vacation. I like the scenery over there. I visited five times since 2006. See near by beach and temple in township.breezes in the beach really superb.
  • 4 star rating for the good maintenance..fort was demolished during dutch-British war. Remaining parts can be seen...on the way u can spend some time in kalpakkam township river side.
  • A ruined dutch fort. ASI has renovated some of its lost glory. You can learn some history. Room for improvement by providing essential facilities and can generate revenue in tourism.
