Chembra Peak, Kalpetta

Categories: Mountains, Nature & Parks
Inspirock Rating:
4.4/5 based on 550+ reviews on the web
Trek up Chembra Peak for a memorable hike through evocative scenery. All hikers must receive permission from the main office before beginning the walk, so make sure you pay a visit there first. At the office, many trekkers take the opportunity to hire a guide for the walk. The ascent takes around three hours to complete; along the way, you'll pass one of the main attractions: a heart-shaped lake that locals say has never dried up. The top of the 2,050 m (6,730 ft) peak rewards with extensive views of the Western Ghats. Put Chembra Peak on your schedule, and learn what else deserves a visit by using our Kalpetta vacation route planner.

  • It's two-and-some hours up and about an hour down. Sometimes it's a little congested and you have to wait to get around slower people. Views from the top are beautiful.
