  • It was a secret place to hide during the war, currently it just looks a old house ruin. However it's good to visit another historic place, please do not have any expectations as there is not much.  more »
  • Does not look like a palace. It looks more like a big house we see in our villages. The approach road is also not well maintained. You won't really spend more than 15 minutes at the site.  more »
  • At the outset - this palace was a hiding place for the last Kodava king, so that makes it exciting. However, due to apathy, it is a very ordinary looking hut with no maintenance and is really far. So ...  more »

  • Good historical place, government has to look into it and maintain it properly, now maintained just clean. Photography prohibited inside. 200 + years painting is on walls and ceilings, Some movie makers have damaged the original painting in some places.
  • Great place to visit on the way to Tadiandamol. You can get a feel as to what it was like to live in a palace some couple of hundred years ago. Great infrastructure. There are paintings which are genuinely of its time. And also some restored paintings too which were made while shooting for a Kannada movie. There is a guide who can show you around. The way to the place may look scary but its actually nothing to worry about because there is a school near the palace.
  • Great location, part of Coorg history. Small but nice Palace. Govt should take more effort to preserve.
  • Off the beaten trail and worth a visit.. Badly maintained
  • An old palace built as a hideout for the then king. It's architecture is well crafted with intricate sets of rooms and passages designed to hold out and escape . There is a local guide who will explain all the intricate details if the place including its history, art and purpose of the palace
