The park and wildlife sanctuary encompasses an area of 1,412 sq km (545 sq mi) of dry scrub land and open deciduous forest. Thankfully, the population of lions has been rising in recent years, with over 500 currently living freely within the park. The habitat also supports over 2,000 other animal species, including leopards, cobras, sambars, and chitals.   • The park is good. The success rate of seeing a Lion is very poor. The planning of safaris need to be done more proactively so that visitor has a glimpse of Lion. I could see only few deers. 
  • This sanctuary is most famous and popular among the tourist as well locals. This park is closed during the matting time of lions. Very nice and you have to take / hire Safari open jeep for visit insid...  more »
  • We did the evening 3 PM Safari and we were really lucky to spot 8 lions... Wow... what a site, they came close to our jeep, played around and walked away. To watch the lion in it's natural habitat is ...  more »
