Built on a huge rock in the middle of Kosi River, Garjiya Devi Temple attracts thousands of devotees, offering awe-inspiring views of cliffs and the river from this its island. Set in the oldest national park in India, this Shakti shrine features a black granite statue of Lakshmi Narayan dating from the 9th century and a 1.5 m (4.5 ft) high statue of Garjiya Devi, the presiding deity.     Waited for 40 minutes for blessings but it was worth it .. nice temple alongside kosi river .. few people were also indulged in river rafting  more »

    Temples are matter of faith and beyond any human review , go if you are religious enough to tread uphill 150 stairs to offer prayers to the Godess of Shakti.  more »

    This temple is a nice place on the banks of River and provide excellent views of hills and valley. The temple is at a height with steep steps and it takes some serious efforts to reach there on top......  more »

    This place is awesome to visit . You feel great in water just like you are floating in air. Excellent features along with feeling of excellence pleasure.

    Very soothing place usually crowded ..with river, rocs, mountain,bridge,temple.... if you going to enter in river for or photos stone in river are very slippery & though the river is shallow but current very fast !!! So be careful. Garjiya Devi Temple is a noted Devi temple located in the Garjiya village near Ramnagar, Uttarakhand.It is a sacred Shakti shrine where Garjiya Devi is the presiding deity. a calm n quiet place to worship with beautiful surrounding.

    This historical temple lies in ramnagar - ranikhet route. one has to go 1km off the main road to reach this site. mostly crowded on weekends with queues going beyond imagination. it also has a cave based bhairo temple at the bottom of main complex.
