Gagron Fort is situated in Jhalawar district of Rajasthan, in the Hadoti region of India. It is an example of a hill and water fort.ConservationSix forts of Rajasthan, namely, Amber Fort, Chittorgarh Fort, Gagron Fort, Jaisalmer Fort, Kumbhalgarh and Ranthambore Fort were included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site list during the 37th meeting of the World Heritage Committee in Phnom Penh during June 2013. They were recognized as a serial cultural property and examples of Rajput military hill architecture.

  • This is place is awesome. Its open betwen 9:00 to 17:00 hrs. Its situated at the confluence of three rivers, Kali sindh, Aahu and one more river whose name i am not able to recall. This fort is in such a good condition. Great to visit
  • Bounded on three sides by Rivers, the Gagron Fort is also a UNESCO World Heritage site and is located in Jhalawar district, Rajasthan. The fort was constructed by the chieftains of the Doda Rajput clan in the 8th century but was conquered numerous times by various monarchs until it was granted as a gift to the Maharaja of Kota by Aurangzeb.
